Prospective Students
The polytechnic also runs programmes at Diploma levels for the following courses, namely, Computer Engineering, Specializing in Software/Hardware Maintenance, Computer Studies and Operations, Marketing Management, Secretariat Studies, Purchasing and Supply, Personnel Management, Local Government Administration, Criminology and Legal Studies and Tourism and Hospitality Management.
The Polytechnic runs Semester system for all progammes of the institution. Each full-time ND programme consists of four semesters and each semester consist of 15 weeks of consistent academic teaching and two weeks of examination. We believe that semester system provides a more effective period to teach various courses as it allows continuos assessment of student rather than in an intensive examination period at the end of your final year.
For the convenience of our prospective students, admissions are conducted twice in a session. First during the Harmatan and two Rain semesters. Harmatan semester begins in October/November, while Rain semester commences in March/April. Each student has the option of choosing which ever period is more suitable to him/her. Advertisement will be made in print media to inform and encourage potential students to apply at the appropriate period.
